May. 05, 2013 - PLU ace Max Beatty to return.
The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of redshirt junior pitcher Max Beatty of Pacific Lutheran University. Beatty is 7-4 with a 2.47 ERA for the Lutes. The right-hander has struck out 81 over 80 innings pitched. He has one last start scheduled for this spring versus Lewis-Clark State. Max pitched for Corvallis 2010-2012 earning second-team All-WCL honors in 2011.
Apr. 29, 2013 - Oregon State frosh southpaw Max Engelbrekt signs with Knights.
The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of freshman lefty pitcher Max Engelbrekt of Oregon State. Engelbrekt has made 16 relief appearances for the Beavers this spring and is 3-0 with 4 saves and a 1.74 ERA.
Apr. 25, 2013 - Corvallis loses All-WCL infielder Marc Gallegos of Corban and UO pitcher Sam Johnson to injury.
Corban shortstop Marc Gallegos was lost to a shoulder injury for the spring and summer season. The sophomore from Astoria, Oregon will unfortunately not return to the Knights. Corvallis also lost red-shirt freshman pitcher Sam Johnson of Oregon to surgery for the second straight year. He was slated to pitch for the Knights in 2012 and 2013.
Apr. 03, 2013 - Knights ink Concordia sophomore outfielder Blake Drake.
The Corvallis Knights signed sophomore outfielder Blake Drake of Concordia University (Portland, Oregon). Drake leads the Cavaliers in hitting with a .361 batting average and in stolen bases with 15.
Jan. 31, 2013 - Corvallis signs sophomore pitcher Sean Eberhardt of George Fox to 10-day contract.
The Corvallis Knights have signed sophomore right-handed pitcher Sean Eberhardt of George Fox University to a 10-day contract. Eberhardt of Rex Putnam High School in Milwaukie, Oregon pitched in the inaugural Reser's All-Star Series in 2011.
Jan. 02, 2013 - Central Washington infielder Scott Stone signs 10-day deal with Knights.
The Corvallis Knights have signed Scott Stone, a junior corner infielder at Central Washington University, to a 10-day contract. He starred at Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis from 2009-2010. Stone (6-5, 205) played at Mt. Hood CC the past two springs where he hit .243 (18-74) with 15 RBIs in 37 games in 2012, and .250 (13-52) with a homer and five RBIs in 27 games in 2011. Scott was a 2010 first-team 5A all-state selection at CV. He also played in the 2010 Oregon All-Star Series.
Dec. 17, 2012 - Knights sign Tacoma CC catcher Chad Michaud to 10-day contract.
Tacoma Community College catcher Chad Michaud has signed a 10-day contract with the Corvallis Knights. He's a 5-foot-10, 174-pound sophomore from Prairie High School in Vancouver, Wash. Michaud hit .299 (23-77) with no homers and nine RBIs in 29 games for the Tigers in 2012.
Dec. 10, 2012 - Portland Pilots pitcher Kody Watts signs with Knights.
The Knights have signed University of Portland sophomore pitcher Kody Watts, a 6-3, 185-pound right-hander from Skyview High in Vancouver, Wash. Watts was 2-3 with a 4.97 ERA in 18 games for the Pilots in 2012, with 19 strikeouts in 29 innings. He then pitched for the Cowlitz Black Bears and was 3-2 with a 4.97 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 25.1 innings over 16 appearances. Kody was selected in the 15th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates as the 452nd overall selection.
Dec. 04, 2012 - Washington State outfielder Nate Blackham to return.
Washington State junior outfielder Nathan Blackham will return in 2013 for his third season with the Knights. A left-handed hitter from Mt. Spokane High School Mead, Wash., Blackham (5-9, 170) hit .311 in 35 total games for the Knights in 2012, with 14 RBIs, 13 steals and some stellar catches in left field. He also hit .316 (6-19) for the Knights in 2011 before a wrist injury ended his season after just six games. Blackham is a two-year starter at WSU and hit .400 as a freshman in 2011 and .265 in 2012.
Dec. 04, 2012 - Corvallis inks Mt. Hood CC ace Eric Huson.
Mt. Hood CC sophomore pitcher Eric Huson will play for the Knights in 2013. Huson (6-3, 195) was 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA in 12 games for the Saints in 2012. He was 4-0, 1.69 in his final four games, all starts, with 18 strikeouts and only three walks in 32 innings. He made the NWAACC all-tournament team and was a two-time Pacific League all-star at Forest Grove High School.
Dec. 04, 2012 - Pacific sidearmer Kyle Treadway signs 10-day deal.
Pacific University sophomore RHP Kyle Treadway (6-4, 240) has signed a 10-day contract with the Knights. He was 1-2 with a 4.30 ERA in eight games for the Boxers in 2012, with 15 strikeouts.
Dec. 03, 2012 - Knights ink Oregon frosh pitcher Sam Johnson.
University of Oregon right-handed pitcher Sam Johnson has signed with the Knights. Johnson (6'0", 200 lbs) is a redshirt freshman from Westview High School in Beaverton who missed the 2012 season after undergoing reconstructive elbow surgery. Johnson was rated as Oregon's No. 1 prospect by Perfect Game and No. 2 by Baseball Northwest after leading Westview to the 2011 6A state championship. He was 8-3 with a 2.61 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 72.2 innings. He was a three-time all-state selection, a three-time Metro League all-star, and played in the Reser Oregon All-Star Series.
Nov. 30, 2012 - PLU pitcher Jake Otness signs 10-day deal with Knights.
The Corvallis Knights signed Jake Otness, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound righty from Gresham who played at Barlow High, to a 10-day contract. He was 3-3, 5.10 in 15 games at PLU as a freshman, with 29 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. Otness pitched in the 2011 Oregon All-Star Series at Goss Stadium. His cousin, John Otness, starred at Washington and played for the Knights in 2001-2002. He later signed with the Red Sox and had a seven-year minor-league career with four organizations before retiring after the 2010 season. John now works for the University of Washington Athletic Department.
Nov. 29, 2012 - San Jose State utility player Dane Lund to return for third season in Corvallis.
San Jose State catcher/outfielder Dane Lund will return to the Knights for a third season. The Astoria native played at Mt. Hood Community College for two seasons before transferring to SJSU for the 2012-13 academic year. Lund hit .261 (30-115) in 38 games for the Knights in 2012, with a homer and 13 RBIs. He hit .259 in 26 games in 2011. He was named All-NWAACC with Mt. Hood in 2012.
Nov. 28, 2012 - University of Oregon right-hander Jared Priestley signs with Corvallis.
The Knights have signed Oregon freshman pitcher Jared Priestley. The 6'2", 180 lb native of Roseburg, Oregon, was a first-team 6A all-state selection in 2012, and played in the Reser's Oregon All-Star Series. He then went 0-0 with a 1.28 ERA in four games with the Bend Elks last summer, with four strikeouts in seven innings.
Nov. 22, 2012 - Knights ink Central Washington junior infielder Eddie Malone Jr. to 10-day contract.
Corvallis has signed Central Washington University redshirt junior Eddie Malone Jr. to a 10-day contract. He's a 6-foot, 200-pounder from Queen Creek High in Queen Creek, Ariz., who played at Scottsdale CC and at Mesa CC in the Phoenix area before transferring to CWU. Malone hit .343, with 24 RBIs, in 42 games at Mesa in 2012.
Nov. 21, 2012 - Washington Husky frosh pitcher Alex Nesbitt signs with Corvallis.
The Knights have signed University of Washington freshman right-handed pitcher Alex Nesbitt (5'11", 180 1bs) of Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Wash. He was a second-team 3A Wesco South League all-star as a shortstop in 2012 as a Kamiak senior, but he'll pitch for the Huskies and for the Knights. Earlier this fall he saved the Purple team's 2-1 win over the Gold team in Washington's annual scrimmage that ends fall practice.
Nov. 20, 2012 - Oregon State frosh pitcher Andrew Moore signs with Knights.
Oregon State freshman right-handed pitcher Andrew Moore has signed with Corvallis. Moore was one of the most decorated pitchers in state history during his career at North Eugene High School. He was the Oregon 5A Player of the Year in 2012, the co-5A Pitcher of the Year in 2011 and 2010, and a three-time all-state and four-time all-league selection. He was also the South's Most Valuable Pitcher in the Knights-run Oregon All-Star Series this past June. He was 9-1 as a high school senior, with a 0.76 ERA and 125 strikeouts in 72.2 innings. Moore was 32-10 in his four-year prep career, with 441 strikeouts in 300 innings.
Nov. 19, 2012 - UCSB outfielder Joe Duffin signs with Corvallis.
The Corvallis Knights have signed UC Santa Barbara freshman Joe Duffin a 6-foot-1, 225-pound outfielder from Santa Ana, Calif. He played at Villa Park High as a senior after playing the previous three seasons at Orange Lutheran High School.
Nov. 17, 2012 - Dixie State two-way player Kevin Kline inks Knights deal.
Sophomore right-handed pitcher/infielder Kevin Kline (6-3, 200) of Dixie State College in St. George, Utah has signed with the Knights. A transfer from Southern Utah University, he hit .280 (30-107), with three homers and 15 RBIs in 33 games as a freshman in 2012. In six appearances as a pitcher, he was 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA and four strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
Nov. 14, 2012 - George Fox pitcher Tom Zarosinski signs 10-day deal with Corvallis.
Right-hander Tom Zarosinski, a redshirt sophomore at George Fox University, who played briefly for the Knights in 2011, has signed a 10-day contract. He was 1-7 with a 5.56 ERA in 12 starts at GFU in 2012, with 52 strikeouts in 56.2 innings. Zarosinski redshirted at Oregon State in 2011 and made one non-league appearance for the Knights. He then played for the Ports in WCL Portland before transferring to GFU.
Nov. 13, 2012 - Chris Rabago of UC Irvine to return; Anteater southpaw Elliot Surrey signs with Knights.
The Knights have signed returnee Chris Rabago and left-handed pitcher Elliot Surrey of UC Irvine for 2013. A sophomore catcher/infielder from Riverside, Calif., Rabago (5-11, 180) hit .195 with no homers and 14 RBIs in 43 games and won the Knights' Joe Segel Hustle Award in 2012. He hit .286 as a freshman at UC Irvine, with a homer and 12 RBIs in 35 games. A native of La Crescenta, Calif., Surrey (6-0, 175) was a three-time CIF and three-time Pacific League first-team all-star at Crescenta Valley High.
Nov. 08, 2012 - Corvallis signs frosh pitcher Dylan Hecht of UC Santa Barbara.
The Knights have signed Dylan Hecht, a freshman right-handed pitcher from UC Santa Barbara. He's a 6-foot, 195-pounder from Foothill High in Pleasanton, Calif. He was 5-3 with a 1.66 ERA in 13 appearances at Foothill in 2012, with 85 strikeouts in 59 innings.
Nov. 05, 2012 - Knights ink Washington State pitchers Kellen Camus and Jacob Schroeder.
The Corvallis Knights have signed Washington State right-handed pitchers Kellen Camus and freshman Jacob Schroeder. Camus is a junior from Olympia; Wash.; Schroeder is a sophomore from Ferndale, Wash. Camus went 3-1 with a 3.44 ERA in 29 appearances in 2012, with two saves and 24 strikeouts in 36.2 innings. He went 3-1 in 10 games as a freshman in 2011, with a 5.47 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 14.2 innings. Schroeder is a 6-7, 205-pound freshman who was a second-team All-Northwest Conference selection as a junior and senior. He also earned four letters in basketball.
Nov. 02, 2012 - Portland Pilots pitcher Colin Feldtman and infielders Cody Lenahan and Michael Lucarelli sign with Knights.
University of Portland players Colin Feldtman, a junior right-handed pitcher from Bainbridge High in Bainbridge Island, Wash., and sophomore infielders Michael Lucarelli (6-0, 150) and Cody Lenahan have signed with Corvallis. Feldtman was a WCL all-star for Kitsap in 2012; Lucarelli and Lenahan started for UP as freshmen in 2012.
Nov. 01, 2012 - Corvallis signs Grand Canyon southpaw Andrew Naderer.
The Knights have signed freshman left-handed pitcher Andrew Naderer of Grand Canyon University. He is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound graduate of Arcadia High School in Phoenix. Naderer was a second-team All-Division II selection at Arcadia in 2012. He was also the 2011 East Sky Region Pitcher of the Year.
Oct. 29, 2012 - Future Oregon Duck Stephen Nogosek signs with Corvallis.
The Knights have signed middle infielder/right-handed pitcher Stephen Nogosek of Woodcreek High School in Roseville, Calif. He's a senior who will sign with Oregon in November, and enroll for the 2013-14 academic year. A 6-foot-1, 180 pounder, he hit .374 (40-107) with nine doubles, a triple, a homer and 26 RBIs in 32 games for Woodcreek, which defeated Granite Bay 9-2 in the 2012 CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship game.
Oct. 29, 2012 - Corvallis inks Dartmouth frosh outfielder Nick Ruppert.
The Knights have signed Dartmouth College freshman Nick Ruppert, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound center fielder from La Mesa, Calif. He played at St. Augustine High School and hit .314 (32-102) with a homer and 15 RBIs as a senior in 2012 and .432 with three homers and 27 RBIs as a junior in 2011.
Oct. 29, 2012 - Cal Poly freshmen pitcher Casey Bloomquist, catcher Brian Mundell and shortstop Peter Van Gansen sign with Knights.
The Knights have signed Cal Poly freshmen pitcher Casey Bloomquist,catcher Brian Mundell and shortstop Peter Van Gansen. Bloomquist is a 6-foot-3, 170-pound righthanded pitcher from Bakersfield Christian High in Bakersfield, Calif. Mundell is a 6-3, 205-pounder from Valencia High School in Valencia, Calif. Van Gansen is a 5-9, 150-pound shortstop from Mission Hills, Calif., who played at Alemany High School.
Oct. 26, 2012 - Southpaw Devon Barker of Central Washington to return.
The Knights signed Central Washington junior lefty reliever Devon Barker, a transfer from Centralia CC. A 6-foot-4, 175-pounder from Puyallup, Barker became one of the Knights' bullpen stalwarts in 2012 earning a spot in the WCL All-Star Game. He was 3-0 with a 1.84 ERA in 18 total appearances, with five saves and 33 strikeouts in 29.1 innings pitched.
Oct. 24, 2012 - Knights sign Tacoma CC soph right-handed pitcher Brandon Choate.
Corvallis has signed TCC sophomore pitcher Brandon Choate, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound righthander from Mountlake Terrace High School in Lynnwood, Wash. Choate was 0-1 with a 6.54 ERA in 10 appearances as a freshman in 2012, with 12 strikeouts in 11 innings. He topped out at 90 MPH recently at TCC's annual Scout Day event. Choate also was recruited by Seattle Unversity, Edmonds CC, Everett CC, and Scottsdale CC coming out of high school.
Oct. 05, 2012 - Corvallis lands Oregon State frosh infielder Gabe Clark.
The Knights have signed Oregon State freshman corner infielder Gabe Clark, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder from North High School in Riverside, Calif. Clark was a four-time letterman at North High and was co-MVP of the Big VIII League as a senior. He hit .511, with 11 homers, 41 RBIs, 38 runs and 18 stolen bases, was a first-team Max Preps all-state (large schools) selection, and a Riverside Press-Enterprise Inland Empire all-star.
Oct. 04, 2012 - Knights sign San Diego soph outfielder Grant Melker.
The Knights have signed University of San Diego sophomore Grant Melker, a 5-8, 160-pound outfielder from Claremont High School in Claremont, Calif. Melker played in nine games as a freshman in 2012, scored two runs, and was hitless in his only at-bat. He was a four-year starter at Claremont High, hit .300 or better every season, was the team MVP as a freshman and earned team Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior and senior before signing with USD. His older brother, Adam, played for the Knights in 2008 and 2009 while at Cal Poly. He now plays in the St. Louis Cardinals' minor-league system and just completed his first season with Springfield in the double-A Texas League.
Oct. 01, 2012 - Corban infielder Marc Gallegos to return in 2013.
Infielder Marc Gallegos of Corban University will return in 2013 for his second season with the Knights. A sophomore from Astoria who played shortstop and second base, Gallegos hit .309 in 52 games, with no homers, 19 RBIs and a team-record 25 stolen bases. Originally a 10-day signee, he earned a full-time position and eventually led the Knights in runs (36) and hits (58), and was a second-team West Coast League all-star. Gallegos hit .346, with 26 RBIs and 33 steals, at Corban in 2012 and was an NAIA West first-team all-star selection, and an NAIA West Gold Glove selection.
Sep. 27, 2012 - Corvallis inks sophomore pitcher Chris Bishop of Pacific Lutheran.
The Knights have signed Pacific Lutheran sophomore right-hander Chris Bishop. He was was 0-0 with a save, six strikeouts and a 1.12 ERA in eight innings over three games for the 2012 Knights as a 10-day signee. He was 3-3 with a 4.40 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 59.1 innings at PLU as a freshman in 2012. He was a four-year letterman in baseball and football, a two-time Evergreen League MVP, and a three-time all-state pitcher and outfielder at Rochester High in Centralia, Wash., before enrolling at PLU.
Sep. 26, 2012 - Knights Sign Columbia sophomore outfielder Gus Craig.
The Knights have signed South Eugene graduate Gus Craig, a sophomore outfielder at Columbia University. Craig is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound lefty who hit .182, with no homers and four RBIs, for Columbia as a freshman in 2012. He then hit .255 in 48 games for the Torrington (Conn.) Titans in the Futures League, with a one homer and 19 RBIs. Craig lettered in baseball, basketball and football at South Eugene and was a team captain in each sport. He was a four-time Midwestern League all-star in baseball and hit .417 as a senior.
Jun. 12, 2012 - Junior pitcher Mitch Patito of UC Riverside to return.
The Knights announced the signing of junior pitcher Mitch Patito of UC Riverside. Patito returns for a third summer in Corvallis. Mitch went 3-4 over 16 appearances and 10 starts and posted a 3.96 ERA while striking out 61 over 50 innings pitch this past spring for the Highlanders. Patito earned second-team All-WCL honors in 2010 as the Knights' closer. The right-hander replaces Chris Johnson of Portland who reported to the San Francisco Giants training facilities in Arizona this past Sunday.
Jun. 09, 2012 - Corvallis adds UC Riverside pitcher Trevor Frank to roster.
The Corvallis Knights signed junior pitcher Trevor Frank of UC Riverside. Frank made 14 starts for the Highlanders this past spring and went 2-8 with a 4.63 ERA over 79 2/3 innings pitched.
Jun. 07, 2012 - Knights lose closer Mark Trentacosta of UC Irvine to professional baseball; Corvallis signs sophomore Brandon Jackson of Western Nevada (JC).
The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of sophomore pitcher Brandon Jackson of Western Nevada (JC). He replaces closer Mark Trentacosta of UC Irvine who signed yesterday with the St. Louis Cardinals. Jackson went 10-1 this spring and posted a 1.55 ERA.
May. 29, 2012 - Corvallis loses junior pitcher Chris Mendoza of Santa Clara to summer school.
Junior right-handed pitcher Chris Mendoza won't return for a third season with the Knights. He must take summer courses at Santa Clara University.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of junior catcher Beau Fraser of University of Portland to a 10-day contract. Fraser is hitting .220 with 1 home run and 10 RBIs this spring.

Projected Knights' starting pitcher Justin Peters of the University of Texas will miss the summer season with a knee injury that requires surgery.
May. 09, 2012 - Knights add Western Oregon right-handed pitcher A.J. Burke.
The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of junior pitcher A.J. Burke of Western Oregon University. Burke was a NWAACC second-team All-Southern Division selection at Linn-Benton Community College in 2011 before transferring to WOU for his final two seasons. He is 3-0 with a 2.56 ERA in 11 games, with four saves and 27 strikeouts in 31.2 innings pitched this spring.
May. 09, 2012 - Injuries shelve first baseman Silver of Texas, pitcher Manley of Linfield.
Projected Knights' starting first baseman Alex Silver of Texas and right-handed pitcher Zach Manley of Linfield will miss the 2012 summer season with injuries. Silver will undergo knee surgery after the college season. Manley is experiencing tendon irration as a result of a loose shoulder and is being shut down until fall practice.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of freshman pitcher Blake Burrell of Riverside City College. The right-hander from Moreno Valley, California is 3-0 with a 1.25 ERA this spring.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of senior two-way player Carson Kelly of Westview High School. Kelly, who pitches and plays infield, was named the 2011 6A Oregon High School Player of the Year and has signed with University of Oregon.

Dec. 13, 2011 - Knights sign Mt. Hood CC outfielder Tristan Metcalf to 10-day contract.
The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of sophomore outfielder Tristan Metcalf of Mt. Hood CC. Metcalf, a native of Newport, Oregon, played last spring at Orange Coast College, and has signed a letter-of-intent with New Mexico State University for 2013.
Dec. 09, 2011 - Corvallis inks junior pitcher Aaron Corwin of Texas Tech.
The Knights announced the signing of junior right-handed pitcher Aaron Corwin of Texas Tech. Corwin pitched for Corvallis in 2010. Aaron, a graduate of Corvallis High School, made 19 appearances last spring with the Red Raiders (1-0 W/L, 3.28 ERA, 1 SV). In 2010 for the Knights, Corwin made 12 appearances, 5 starts and went 3-0 while posting a 3.41 ERA.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of sophomore southpaw Dylan Stuart of UC Riverside. Stuart was named the 2011 Big West freshman Pitcher of the Year and started the 2011 WCL All-Star Game for the West.

The Vancouver, Washington native earned second-team All-WCL honors in 2011 after going 6-2 with a 2.70 ERA and recording 53 strikeouts over 63.1 innings pitched. He also pitched for the Knights in 2010.

The Knights announced the signing of sophomore outfielder Jacob Hoffman of Pacific Lutheran, a native of Fircrest, Washington. He was all-state, all-area and all-league at Curtis High in Tacoma in 2010, and was a 2011 first-team All-Northwest Conference selection as a frosh. He hit a team-high .390, with 14 RBIs and 11 steals in 27 games for the Lutes.

Kyle was 4-1 with a 2.95 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 13 regular-season games and 5-1 with a 2.84 ERA in 14 total games for the Knights last summer. Hart earned All-SCIAC and NCAA Division III West Region honors at Redlands last spring.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of sophomore outfielder Nathan Blackham of Washington State. Blackham's 2011 summer in Corvallis was cut short due to a wrist injury. Nathan hit .316 for the Knights following his freshman season at WSU. The Spokane native appeared in 34 games and hit .400 for the Cougars.

University of Oregon sophomore outfielder Connor Hofmann is set to return in 2012. The San Diego, California native hit .230 with 13 stolen bases last summer for Corvallis. The Knights also signed freshmen right-handed pitchers Sam Johnson (6'0", 180 lbs) of Westview High and Cole Wiper (6'4", 180 lbs) of Newport High in Bellevue, Washington.

First-team All-West Coast League southpaw reliever Mark Trentacosta of UC Irvine will return to the Knights in 2012. He went 3-1 and posted a 1.44 ERA over 20 WCL regular-season games, with nine saves. Mark recorded two saves against Bend in the WCL Divisional Series to establish a Corvallis Knights record (11). The southpaw from Orange, California allowed only one run over 23 total relief appearances and appeared in the WCL All-Star Game.
Sep. 13, 2011 - Corvallis re-signs Riverside CC outfielder Cade Gotta.
Outfielder Cade Gotta, a sophomore at Riverside CC, is set to return to the Knights for the 2012 season. The Solano Beach, California native hit .339 with a homer and four RBIs in 22 regular-season games for Corvallis, then hit .353 with four RBIs in the WCL playoffs.

The Corvallis Knights picked up redshirt junior middle infielder Trent Oleszczuk of Seattle. The Beaverton, Oregon native replaces his college teammate Nate Roberts who was recently lost for the summer with a hand injury. This past spring, Oleszczuk led the Redhawks in batting with a .322 average and he also led the team in on base percentage (.466), walks (34), HBP (16) and stolen bases (8).

Corvallis Knights starting centerfielder Dayton Alexander of Feather River College, infielder Nic Cuckovich of Riverside CC and outfielder/pitcher Michael Blake of Hawaii were all drafted and have recently signed. Alexander started the first four games for Corvallis. He was picked in the 6th round by Oakland. Blake went in the 16th round and Cuckovich the 17th and were selected by Arizona and Kansas City, respectively. Cuckovich was slated to start at shortstop this summer. Blake led the Knights in hitting last season.

The Knights signed Oregon State freshman right-handed pitcher Adam Duke of Spanish Fork, Utah. A three-time all-stater and the 2010 Utah Player of the Year and Utah Gatorade Player of the Year, he is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA in two appearances this spring.

The right-handed returnee from Alta Loma, California went 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA while striking out 34 over 27 1/3 innings pitched last season for Corvallis. Last spring, Nick went 2-0 and posted a 2.48 ERA while striking out 34 over 29 innings pitched for the Anteaters.

The Corvallis Knights announced the hiring of Billy Clontz of Mt. Hood CC. Clontz returns for a second season with Corvallis as an assistant coach. Billy played three seasons with the Knights (2006, 2008-2009) and rehabbed with the team in 2007. Clontz earned second-team All-WCL honors and led Corvallis to its first WCL title in 2008. Billy is currently the head assistant coach at Mt. Hood CC in Gresham, Oregon.

Corvallis Knights skipper Brooke Knight announced the signing of junior pitcher Eric Young of University of Delaware. Young returns for his third summer with the Knights. Last season, the right-hander from Redlands, California went 0-1 with 1.52 ERA over 14 relief appearances. Young, a product of Riverside CC, tied for the team lead in WCL appearances and registered one save while striking out 22 over 23 2/3 innings pitched.

As a frosh, Chris went 3-2 with a 3.77 ERA during the WCL regular season. Mendoza's 35 strikeouts and 45 1/3 innings pitched were the second highest totals on the team.

The Knights lost backup catcher Bo Altobelli of Texas Tech to injury. The frosh was battling a wrist problem and is going home to have an MRI. Corvallis added frosh outfielder Tym Pearson of Columbia Basin College to its roster for the club's final five regular season games. Pearson will not be eligible for the postseason. Tym, from Eugene, Oregon, was selected in the 41st round of the 2010 MLB draft by the New York Yankees.

Brock's roster spot will be filled by junior pitcher Alex St. Pierre of Lewis & Clark College. St. Pierre pitched early in the season for the Knights and was called up from the WCL Portland Toros.

Jun. 29, 2010 - UC Riverside pitcher Dustin Emmons returns to Corvallis.
GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the addition of junior pitcher Dustin Emmons of UC Riverside to the Knights' roster. Emmons pitched last summer with Corvallis and went 5-0 with a 1.69 ERA. This past spring, Dustin made 13 starts for UCR and went 9-4 with a 3.94 ERA. Emmons was selected in the 40th round of the 2010 MLB draft by Florida. He was recently released by the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod League on Sunday. Dustin takes Scott Lyman's spot on the roster as the sophomore pitcher from UC Davis was shut down for the summer to rest his arm.

Johnson has been put on the team's inactive/suspended list as the junior slugger is academically ineligible.

Jones returns for his second season with the Knights. The versatile left-handed hitter led the team in game starts with 54 last summer getting starts in the outfield, first base, designated hitter and at pitcher. Jones hit .274 with 10 doubles and 30 RBI. On the mound, the lefty tallied 12 appearances going 2-0 with one save while striking out 31 over 21 1/3 innings pitched and posting a 4.15 ERA. Hayes, projected to play third and first base for Corvallis, was a teammate last spring of ex-Knight Andrew Susac at Jesuit High School in Sacramento, California. Boyd is a pitcher from Mercer Island, Washington and can also play first base.

Returnee junior outfielder Adam Melker of Cal Poly has been cleared to report and will be re-added to the Knights' roster as of Sunday, July 19. Melker hit .282 with 16 doubles and 26 RBI this past spring for the Mustangs. Adam hit .285 with a team-leading 19 stolen bases and 28 walks last summer.

Last summer's Knights' team leader outfielder Adam Melker of Cal Poly is being replaced on the Corvallis roster by his Mustangs' teammate DJ Gentile. Melker's shoulder injury, that kept the senior-to be from reporting, is still recovering. The Knights lost sophomore catcher Matt Parker of San Diego State to injury. Both Matt's knees were experiencing great pain. Knights' head trainer Jeremy Ainsworth suggested Parker rest for the balance of the summer. Matt returned to his hometown San Diego on July 4th.

Corvallis added frosh pitcher Tyler Anderson of UO to the roster. Anderson went 2-9 with a 6.26 ERA this past spring as the Ducks' Friday night starter. The lefty from Las Vegas struck out 66 over 82 innings pitched.

Corvallis Knights GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the signing of sophomore John Desmarais of Washington State. The left-handed hitting outfielder from Renton, Washington missed most of this spring with a hand injury, but is now healthy and ready for summer action. Desmarais made 21 starts for the Cougars as freshman and hit .326 with 4 doubles, 3 triples, a home run, 17 RBI and he stole six bases.

The Knights released junior right-hander Tyler Lavigne of San Diego State. Lavigne is 7-2 with a 3.32 ERA over 13 starts and 86 2/3 innings pitched for the NCAA Regional bound Aztecs. Tyler accumulated too many innings this spring and is being shutdown for the summer.

GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the signing of much heralded high school catcher Andrew Susac of Sacramento, California. Susac, an All-State player at Jesuit High and Perfect Game National Showcase invitee, signed a National Letter of Intent with the Beavers this past November.
Jan. 30, 2009 - Corvallis signs University of Washington slugger Ty Rasmussen.
GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the signing of junior outfielder Ty Rasmussen of University of Washington. Rasmussen hit .291 with 3 HR and 19 RBI last spring with the Huskies. Ty earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention honors as a redshirt freshman at UW as the right-handed hitting slugger from Bonney Lake, Washington hit .308 with 10 HR and 35 RBI. Rasmussen signed with the Knights in 2006 as a true freshman at University of Louisiana-Lafayette, but could not play due to a shoulder injury.
Jan. 25, 2009 - Knights hire alum Travis Hanson to complete coaching staff.
GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the hiring of Travis Hanson as an assistant coach. Hanson and recent hire Ryan Heil of Riverside CC replace John Hessel and Jason Hawkins as Coach Knight's assistants for 2009. Travis played for the Knights in 2001 and for a series in 2002 before starting his professional career with the St. Louis Cardinals where he made it as far as AAA Memphis before retiring in 2008. Hanson, an infielder, played his college baseball at University of Portland. He was the St. Louis Cardinals 2005 Minor League Player of the Year. Travis still holds the Knights' single-season record for at bats with 227.
Jan. 22, 2009 - Corvallis hires Riverside CC assistant coach. Ryan Heil replaces Jason Hawkins as team's pitching coach.
GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the hiring of Ryan Heil of Riverside CC to fill the pitching coach position left vacant when Jason Hawkins accepted the head coaching job at Occidental College (CA). Heil is a first-year coach at Riverside City College (CA) and will be groomed this spring by RCC head coach Dennis Rogers. Heil pitched for two years in the minor leagues in the New York Mets organization and most recently was an assistant coach at Indiana State and Cal Poly Pomona.

Corvallis Knights GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced that junior infielder Doug Cherry of University of Washington is returning for the 2009 season. Cherry led the Knights to a league title last summer and was named second-team All-WCCBL at third base. Doug led Corvallis with 55 hits and was second on the club in stolen bases with 10, runs with 32 and assists with 115.

Corvallis signed four players from San Diego State University of the Mountain West. Junior outfielder Pat Colwell, sophomore catcher Matt Parker and junior pitchers Tyler Lavigne and Drew Leary were added to the Knights' 2009 roster. Colwell started last spring for the Aztecs and hit .313 with 3 HR, 25 RBI and 7 stolen bases. Parker signed with Corvallis last summer, but missed the season due to injury. Lavigne and Leary are right-handed JC transfers from College of Southern Nevada.

Corvallis inked sophomore pitcher Liam Baron of Linn-Benton Community College for the 2009 summer. Baron, a native of Perth, Australia, pitched brilliantly last year for the Knights both out of the bullpen and as a starter. Baron's league 2.61 ERA was the WCL's 7th lowest. For the season, Liam went 4-1 with a 2.08 ERA over 16 appearances, 5 starts and 52 innings pitched.
Nov. 24, 2008 - Hogan and Nichols of UO to return for third season.
Two-time All-WCCBL infielder Josh Hogan and right-handed pitcher Geoff Nichols of University of Oregon are both coming back for a third summer of West Coast League baseball. Both were key contributors on last summer's championship team. Hogan hit .273, stole 8 bases and fielded at a .968 clip while collecting 110 assists primarily at second base. The junior from Eugene earned first-team All-WCCBL honors in 2007 and was a second-team All-WCCBL selection last season. Nichols pitched for the Knights in 2006 following his freshman season at University of Washington. Last summer, the junior from Portland was the Knights' setup man making 19 appearances, registering 2 saves and posting a 1.74 ERA while striking out 28 over 20 2/3 innings pitched. In 2006, Nichols tied for the team lead in starts with 8 and went 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA.
Nov. 21, 2008 - All-WCCBL utility man Billy Clontz to return for 4th season with Knights.
Team President Dan Segel announced the signing of outfielder/infielder Billy Clontz of Western Oregon. Clontz returns for a fourth season with the Knights. Billy will be the first four-year collegiate Knight in franchise history. The junior from Corvallis sat out the 2007 season due to injury, but rehabbed and dressed with the team. Last summer, Clontz earned second-team All-WCCBL honors and started in the 2008 WCCBL All-Star Game for the West. Billy hit .267 and was second on the team with 54 hits and 24 RBI.

The Corvallis Knights inked two star players from last summer's West Coast League title team, Eddie Orozco of UCR and Richie Jimenez of RCC. Both are now sophomores and were 2008 second-team All-WCCBL picks. Orozco went 3-2 over 10 appearances and 7 starts last summer. The right-hander posted a 3.20 ERA while walking 15 and striking out 41 over 39 1/3 innings pitched. Jimenez started at shortstop, hit .258, stole 9 bases and led the team in assists with 130.

Knights' GM/Head Coach Brooke Knight announced the signing of frosh Matt Andriese and sophomore Dustin Emmons of University of California, Riverside of the Big West. Both right-handers were drafted out of high school. Andriese was a 37th round pick of the Texas Rangers in the 2008 MLB draft and Emmons was a 44th round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2007 MLB draft. Emmons made 13 relief appearances as a freshman for the Highlanders.

The Knights announced the signing of sophomore right-hander Nick Hoover of UC Irvine of the Big West Conference. Hoover pitched last spring for Riverside CC where he went 3-2 and posted a 4.01 ERA while striking out 66 over 59 2/3 innings pitched.

Corvallis signed freshman catcher Jared Womack of Oklahoma State and sophomore first baseman D.J. Johnson of Mt. Hood CC. Womack is a left-handed hitting catcher from Tampa Bay, Florida. Johnson also swings left-handed. The slugger from Beaverton, Oregon finished last season with Corvallis after starring for the Gresham Mountaineers. Johnson hit .267 (45 at bats) with 2 HR and 9 RBI for the Knights.

Whitsett, a right-hander from Orland, California, made 13 starts as a freshman last spring for the Rebels going 2-6 with a 7.65 ERA over 75 1/3 innings pitched. Kraus is an incoming frosh at UP from West Linn High School. Kyle pitched for the Gresham Mountaineers last summer.

Senior-to be Bryant Kraus of UP rejoins the Knights after spending most of his summer with the Gresham Mountaineers. Kraus homered in his only game with Corvallis vs. the Okotoks Dawgs. Kraus has been called up for the remainder of the season. Bryant led the Pilots in hitting this past spring with a .313 batting average.

The Corvallis Knights announced the signing of 2008 Northwest Conference Player of the Year Kyle Stalker of Willamette. Stalker, a left-handed hitting slugger, led the NWC in homeruns with 22 and RBI with 63. The junior first baseman from Bellevue, Washington replaces Adam Buschini of Cal Poly SLO on the roster. Buschini is still recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Bridges leads the California Collegiate Athletic Association in hitting with a .434 batting average. This past Monday, the junior from Valencia, California was named CCAA Player of the Week.

The Corvallis Knights were notified this past week that frosh catcher Cody Freeman of Mississippi State and junior pitcher Josh Burch of George Fox University would be lost to season-ending surgeries. Freeman is the second Corvallis catcher lost to injury. Sophomore Matt Parker of San Diego State suffered a foot injury prior to the spring season. It is unlikely Matt will be ready for summer baseball.

Krick is hitting .393 with two doubles, a homer and 4 RBI over 8 starts with the #7 ranked Dirtbags (9-3). Krick can also catch and will fill Matt Parker's role if Parker (soph, SDSU) is unable to recover from a foot injury.

The Knights inked freshman David Stilley of Washington State. It is likely the southpaw from Silverdale, Washington will pitch this summer as he is recovering nicely after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Stilley went 6-1 while posting a 1.05 ERA as a senior at Central Kitsap High School.

The sophomore from Eugene's Churchill High School is coming off surgery and is expected to pitch this spring.

Jan. 22, 2008 - Knights 2006 Top Pitcher James Wallace to return.
James Wallace of Lubbock Christian University has verbally committed to return to the Knights for the 2008 season. The junior right-hander from Benicia, California was selected in the 37th round of the 2006 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins. Wallace pitched out of the bullpen in 2006. He went 5-1, posted a 3.38 ERA, struck out 39 over 37 1/3 innings pitched, earned a spot on the WCCBL West All-Star team and was named the Knights Top Pitcher by club management (only the second reliever in team history to win the award).
Dec. 20, 2007 - Corvallis signs four San Diego State Aztecs, three pitchers.
New Corvallis Knights head coach Brooke Knight announced the signing of four San Diego State Aztecs. The Knights added three projected starting pitchers in sophomore left-hander Nate Solow and junior JC transfers Jon Berger and James McLaughlin. Also signing with the Knights is Aztec catcher sophomore Matt Parker. Last spring, Solow went 3-1 and posted a 4.50 ERA over 15 appearances and 30 innings pitched. Parker hit .259 with 10 RBI (58 at bats).

He went 4-7 over 18 appearances and 72 2/3 innings pitched and posted a 6.44 ERA. Nick was the Wenatchee AppleSox closer in 2006 and led the WCCBL in saves with 9.

Corvallis signed freshman right-handed pitcher Eric Maupin of Washington State and future Cougar outfielder Bryan Peterson of West Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. Maupin was drafted in the 48th round last June by the Seattle Mariners and was Nevada's High School co-Player of the Year. Peterson signed with WSU and is likely to be selected high in the 2008 MLB draft.

GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of sophomore shortstop Doug Cherry of University of Washington. Cherry played last summer for the Bellingham Bells. Doug hit .255, stole 7 bases and led the Bells with 15 runs scored. Cherry's .948 fielding percentage at short earned the Renton, Washington native a WCCBL Rawlings Gold Glove.

Corvallis inked southpaw Chris Brookey of UNC Asheville of the Big South Conference. Brookey is a freshman pitcher from Encinitas, California.

Junior right-handed pitcher Anthony Carrillo of Long Beach State of the Big West has signed up for his second tour of duty with the Knights. As a freshman at Riverside CC, Carrillo pitched for the 2006 Knights. He led the team in innings pitched with 60, tied for the team lead in starts with 8 and went 4-2 while posting a 3.60 ERA.

Knights' GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of freshman catcher Cody Freeman of Mississippi State. Freeman is a highly touted catcher from Collinsville, Mississippi.

Corvallis signed left-handed pitcher Greg Bobnick of Western Oregon. The junior from Sandy, Oregon pitched the last two springs at Mt. Hood CC.

Corvallis Knights head coach Matt Dorey accepted a scouting position with the World Champion Boston Red Sox. Knights general manager Brooke Knight will chair a search committee to recommend Dorey's replacement.
Nov. 08, 2007 - Former Knights right-hander Geoff Nichols to return.
Corvallis signed junior-to be right-handed pitcher Geoff Nichols formerly of University of Washington. Nichols, a product of Jesuit High School in Beaverton, pitched for the Knights in 2006. He tied for the team lead in starts with 8 and went 2-2 over 51 innings pitched while posting a 3.00 ERA.
Nov. 05, 2007 - Corvallis signs four OSU Beavers including CWS star John Wallace.
Junior infielder Jason Ogata of Beaverton and junior outfielder John Wallace of Reno, Nevada of the 2007 National Champion Oregon State Beavers signed up to stay home next summer and play for the Corvallis Knights. The Knights also inked freshmen pitching prospects Josh Osich of Boise, Idaho and Taylor Starr of Longview, Washington. Osich starred for Bobby Sutcliffe at Bishop Kelly High School and was named 2007 Gatorade Player of the Year in Idaho. Ogata hit .294 with 4 HR and 42 RBI last spring and figures to be one of the Beavers offensive leaders in 2008. Wallace hit. 282 with 1 HR and 26 RBI and turned in another outstanding College World Series performance.
Oct. 24, 2007 - Knights ink two Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Corvallis GM Brooke Knight announced the signings of Oklahoma State freshman infielders Dean Green and Davis Duren. Green is a power-hitting first baseman and Duren plays second and third base. Both are left-handed hitters and were highly recruited high school prospects.
Oct. 22, 2007 - Hogan and Clontz of Mt. Hood CC to return.
Corvallis re-signed infielder Josh Hogan and outfielder Billy Clontz of Mt. Hood CC. Hogan earned All-WCCBL honors last summer. Clontz, a redshirt sophomore and Corvallis native, is returning for his third year with the Knights. The former Corvallis High star did not play last summer due to injury. Hogan, a sophomore from Eugene (Churchill High School), hit .265 last summer and led the club in doubles with 9 while playing a solid second base and shortstop.
Oct. 16, 2007 - Corvallis signs two George Fox Bruins. All-WCCBL outfielder Matt Wyckoff to return.
Corvallis GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of pitcher/infielder Josh Burch and 2007 All-WCCBL outfielder Matt Wyckoff of George Fox University. Burch, a right-handed junior-to be pitcher/shortstop from Redding, California, went 4-3 with 3 saves last spring for Fox. Wyckoff, a junior-to be from Olympia, Washington, hit .331 last summer for the Knights and led the team in runs with 26, hits with 58, total bases with 67 and stolen bases with 12.
Oct. 11, 2007 - Knights sign three recruits each from Cal Poly and UC Riverside of Big West.
Corvallis signed three players from both Cal Poly SLO and UC Riverside of the Big West Conference. The Knights inked rising Mustangs junior first baseman Adam Buschini, junior southpaw Jared Eskew and sophomore outfielder Adam Melker. Buschini started at first for Cal Poly last spring and hit .294 with 4 HR and 29 RBI (194 at bats). Eskew pitched in the Alaska Baseball League for the Mat-su Miners last summer and was named All-ABL honorable mention. Big West Champion UC Riverside is sending Corvallis freshman outfielder Tony Nix and right-handed pitchers BJ Salisbury and Ryan Platt.
Oct. 10, 2007 - Cusick to return. Knights ink first 2008 recruit.
GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of sophomore right-hander Michael Cusick of Western Oregon. Cusick pitched last summer for Corvallis as a freshman. He made 15 relief appearances and went 4-2 while posting a 2.93 ERA.
Aug. 03, 2007 - Knights lose Drew Garcia to hamstring pull.
Corvallis lost middle infielder Drew Garcia of UC Riverside to a severe hamstring pull. He will be lost for the season. The Knights also lost closer Kyle Cruikshank of Golden West College for the season due to personal reasons.
Aug. 02, 2007 - Samuelson returns for final series.
UC Riverside slugger Mark Samuelson returned for the Knights final four games. The left-hand hitting first baseman from Lake Forest, California will not be available for the playoffs as Mark must head back to UCR for the school's second summer session.

Corvallis lost ace right-hander Mike Koons of San Diego State on All-Star Tuesday as Koons signed with the Houston Astros.

Corvallis lost Brad Reid of Bellevue CC and Jerad Thompson of Mt. Hood CC for the season to injury. Reid, an Oregon State sign, has a misplaced rib and Thompson hurt his arm. Both were starting pitchers for the Knights.
Jul. 07, 2007 - Morel reinjures shoulder, lost for season.
2006 Knights' team MVP Brent Morel reinjured his shoulder vs. Moses Lake on Thursday night. He flew home Saturday and will undergo surgery here soon. The Knights have now lost their entire starting infield to either injury or academics. Projected starting All-WAC second baseman John Hee of Hawaii was lost the week before the season (shoulder surgery), Washington State starting shortstop Cody Bartlett tore ligaments in his thumb in his first game with the Knights, UC Riverside slugger Mark Samuelson was sent home after hitting two homeruns in his first week with the club to attend summer school and Morel was lost for the season after only four days with the team. In other transactions, pitcher Bryant Hollingsworth of Riverside CC was released.
Jul. 01, 2007 - Corvallis hires pitching coach.
The Knights replaced assistant coach Dave Wong of OSU with Trent Baysinger. Trent will act as the team's pitching coach. Baysinger played his college ball at University of Washington and was recently released by the Baltimore Orioles. Wong was not allowed to coach this summer (NCAA rules).

GM Brooke Knight announced that the Knights have signed high school prospect Greg Peavey of Hudson's Bay High School. Peavey was selected in the 24th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the New York Yankees. Greg has committed to Oregon State and will enroll this fall if he does not sign a pro contract.

Corvallis sent utility man Ryan Sussenguth of Concordia down to the Gresham Mountaineers to play every day. Outfielder Ryan Lewis of Yakima Valley CC was released.

Corvallis added Washington State junior first baseman Jim Murphy. The right-handed hitting slugger was named the 2006 New England Collegiate Baseball League MVP. Murphy hit .220 with 3 HR and 23 RBI this past spring for WSU.
Jun. 26, 2007 - Corvallis loses closer Joe Kelly of UCR to Team USA.
USA Baseball announced on Monday that Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year Joe Kelly of University of California, Riverside was named to Team USA's 22-man roster. The hard throwing right-hander was one of two players selected from a pool of 11 tryout invitees competing for the roster's final 2 spots. He will not be reporting to the Corvallis Knights and will pitch for Team USA this summer.
Jun. 23, 2007 - Knights add outfielder for 9-game road trip. Corvallis loses slugger Mark Samuelson.
Corvallis signed sophomore Ryan Lewis of Yakima Valley CC to add depth to the outfield. Lewis was selected in the 45th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Chicago Cubs. Starting first baseman Mark Samuelson of UC Riverside was sent home to attend summer school.
Jun. 18, 2007 - Lewis-Clark State College ace Matt Fitts signs with Knights.
Corvallis Knights GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of Matt Fitts of the NAIA National Champion Lewis-Clark State College Warriors. Fitts, a draft eligible sophomore, was selected in the 15th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Houston Astros. The right-hander from Cloverdale, California went 10-1 with a 2.08 ERA this past spring. Fitts replaces Tommy Palica on the roster as Palica signed last week with Atlanta.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Austan Mason of Mt. Hood CC was sent down to the Knights' affiliate the Gresham Mountaineers.
Jun. 12, 2007 - Corvallis adds two infielders for home opening series.
The Knights have called up frosh third baseman Clayton Shaw of University of Portland and frosh second baseman Josh Hogan of Mt. Hood CC from the Gresham Mountaineers for the team's first home stand. Both Shaw and Hogan traveled with the Knights on the team's opening road trip. Shaw hit .400 (8 for 20) and Hogan played outstanding defense.
Jun. 10, 2007 - Knights ink Atlanta Braves 10th round pick southpaw Tommy Palica.
The Corvallis Knights signed left-hander Tommy Palica of Golden West (Ca.) College. This past spring, the sophomore went 7-1 with a 3.05 ERA while striking out 146 over 115 innings pitched earning Palica Pitcher of the Year honors in the Orange Empire Conference. Palica was selected in the 10th round of the 2007 MLB draft by Atlanta. Tommy has committed to Cal State Fullerton and will pitch for the Titans next spring if he does not sign with the Braves.
Jun. 08, 2007 - Corvallis signs two-way JC player from Golden West College.
The Knights signed right-handed reliever and outfielder Kyle Cruickshank of Golden West (Ca.) College. The sophomore led Golden West in saves with 3 and doubles with 19 while hitting .337 with 7 HR and 48 RBI. Cruickshank will meet the team in Marysville. Kyle signed recently with Lewis-Clark State College and will play for the national champion Warriors next spring.

2006 team MVP Brent Morel of Cal Poly SLO is returning this summer. The Corvallis Knights learned today that the sophomore third baseman is not having shoulder surgery. He will join the team for its second home stand after 4-6 weeks of rehab. This spring, Morel hit .332 with 17 doubles, 5 HR and 31 RBI and was named honorable mention All-Big West. The Knights confirmed today that Second-Team All-WAC second baseman Jonathan Hee of University of Hawaii will have shoulder surgery and miss the entire summer season.
May. 28, 2007 - Knights add middle infielder.
Corvallis GM Brooke Knight announced that the Knights signed junior middle infielder Drew Garcia of University of California, Riverside. Garcia redshirted this spring and is a junior.
May. 25, 2007 - Corvallis picks up two quality arms.
The Knights bolstered their pitching staff by adding two all-conference performers in Brett Brunner of Pacific Lutheran University and Bryant Hollingsworth of Riverside (Ca) Community College. Brunner, a junior southpaw from Dallas, Oregon and former Richey's Market star, went 7-2 with a 1.94 ERA for the Lutes and was named All-NWC and Second-Team All-DII West Region. Hollingsworth, a freshman, went 6-1 with a 3.07 ERA and was named First-Team All-Orange Empire Conference.

Head assistant coach Matt Dorey of Washington State was named the Knights new head coach replacing Andy Rojo of Riverside CC.

The Knights signed freshman outfielder Steven Sultzbaugh of Weatherford College in Texas. Sultzbaugh, a draft-and-follow of the Florida Marlins, runs very well. Steven was selected in 20th round of last June's MLB draft.
Apr. 26, 2007 - Knights ink San Diego State bullpen workhorse Mike Koons.
Corvallis bolstered its pitching staff by signing junior right-hander Mike Koons of San Diego State. Koons leads the Aztecs in appearances with 24 and is 3-1 with a 3.25 ERA. Mike pitched for University of Arizona his freshman season.
Apr. 23, 2007 - Knights Baseball Club resurrects feeder team, announces new Gresham Mountaineers.
Club president Dan Segel announced today that the Corvallis Knights have added an affiliate team based in Gresham, Oregon named the Gresham Mountaineers. The summer collegiate club will play a 30-game independent schedule at Mt. Hood CC. The team will be a Knights feeder team and be coached by ex-Knights Bryan Donohue (George Fox University) and James Allan (University of Portland).
Apr. 22, 2007 - Corvallis hires hitting instructor.
Corvallis Knights GM Brooke Knight announced last week the hiring of hitting guru Marty Rubinoff of Riverside Community College. Rubinoff will act as the team's hitting coach. Rubinoff joins head coach Andy Rojo, also of Riverside CC, and head assistant coach Matt Dorey of Washington State on the Knights 2007 coaching staff. Rubinoff was inducted into the Southern California Sports Jewish Hall of Fame in 1989 for his athletic achievements.
Apr. 09, 2007 - Knights lose Cameron Johnson of San Diego State to shoulder injury.
Corvallis lost another sign to injury as projected starting outfielder Cameron Johnson of San Diego State is scheduled to undergo shoulder surgery after the spring season. Johnson is hitting .297 with a team leading 10 stolen bases for the Aztecs.
Apr. 01, 2007 - Top prospect Nick Akins signs with Corvallis.
Riverside Community College freshman infielder Nick Akins was rated by Baseball America as one of the three top JC draft-and-follow prospects in the country. Akins was selected in the 13th round of the 2006 MLB draft by his hometown Los Angeles Dodgers. Nick is hitting .267 with 4 HR and 30 RBI as RCC's designated hitter. He leads the Tigers in stolen bases with 6 and is getting work at second base.
Mar. 27, 2007 - Corvallis loses recent sign to academic ineligibility.
2006 NWAACC Player of the Year Brooks Lindsley was dropped from the Corvallis Knights roster as the sophomore was deemed academically ineligible by Mt. Hood CC. Lindsley will not be eligible to play this spring.

Knights 2006 team MVP Brent Morel of Cal Poly SLO is facing pending shoulder surgery. Corvallis has now lost three key players this month to injury. The sophomore third baseman is hitting .366 with 8 doubles, 3 HR and 14 RBI for the Mustangs. He will play as long as possible this spring and for now is scheduled to undergo surgery following Cal Poly's season.
Mar. 16, 2007 - Corvallis picks up University of Portland catcher Rocky Gale.
Knights GM Brooke Knight announced on Friday the signing of University of Portland freshman catcher Rocky Gale. Rocky was selected in 49th round of the 2006 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals. Gale is a product of North Salem High School. Rocky has started 12 of the Pilots first 19 games and is hitting .292.
Mar. 09, 2007 - Clontz and Ponciano likely shelved for summer.
Outfielder Billy Clontz of Mt. Hood CC and catcher Jay Ponciano of Washington State are both recovering from recent surgeries that will likely keep them on the disabled list for the summer. Clontz had "Tommy John" surgery to repair an elbow injury and Ponciano had foot surgery. The Knights were counting on Clontz and Ponciano to be key contributors this season.
Mar. 06, 2007 - Future Beaver hurler signs with Corvallis.
Knights sign freshman pitcher Brad Reid of Bellevue Community College. Reid was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 44th round of the 2006 MLB draft. The right-hander from Federal Way, Washington has also signed early with Oregon State.
Feb. 21, 2007 - Knights sign 2006 NWAACC Player of the Year.
Mt. Hood CC's Brooks Lindsley, the 2006 NWAACC Player of the Year, recently signed with Corvallis. Lindsley is a shortstop/pitcher and will be a sophomore this spring. Brooks was selected in the 33rd round of the 2006 MLB draft by Tampa Bay. Lindsley starts at short for the Saints and is also Mt. Hood CC's closer. He played for the Aloha Knights in the pre-season last summer.

The Knights signed their final Beaver as GM Brooke Knight announced the signing of JC transfer outfielder Braden Wells. The junior is from Glendale, Arizona and starred at Dixie State College last spring.
Jan. 15, 2007 - Ex-Corvallis High and Linn-Benton CC star Jake Roy signs with Knights.
Junior catcher/outfielder Jake Roy of Dakota Wesleyan University signed with Corvallis. Roy played for both the Kitsap BlueJackets and Bend Elks last summer.

Knights sign freshman right-handed pitcher Mike Cusick of Western Oregon. Cusick is from Salem, Oregon and attended West Salem High.

Knights sign sophomore outfielder Billy Clontz of Mt. Hood CC. Clontz, who starred both at Corvallis High School and with Richey's Market, played last season for the Knights. Clontz hit .216 (75 at bats) last summer.

GM Brooke Knight announced that Andy Rojo of Riverside (Ca.) Community College will manage the 2007 Knights. He also announced that Matt Dorey of Washington State will be Rojo's head assistant coach and that Dennis Rogers, head coach at Riverside Community College, had been named the club's first roving instructor.

Corvallis signed freshman right-handed pitcher Jerad Thompson of Mt. Hood CC and sophomore left-handed pitcher Matt Way of Washington State University. Thompson is from Eugene, Oregon and signed with Oregon State out of Churchill High School. Thompson plans on enrolling at OSU next year. Way is from Sitka, Alaska. As a freshman, Way made 13 appearances and went 1-1 with 1 save while posting a 4.74 ERA.
