My summer at the ballpark
by Chase Fortmiller
My most fun experiences at the ballpark were being able to take ground balls with Rocky Gale before the game and eating hot dogs in the dugout with the team. That was a reward for going to a lot of games as part the team's University Hero rewards program. I went to over 20 games and it was a blast. Also, it was cool when I went out to our car in the parking lot and Jim Murphy of the Knights hit a grand slam homerun off the top of Dad's car (I missed the play, but I got the ball and Mr. Murphy signed it for me too). I also got to race around the bases against Mack the Knight, and I won. My brother and I had a great day playing in Benny the Beaver's costume on OSU Beavers Night. Another reward for us was that we got to have lunch at Univerity Hero with Rocky and the Coaches, that was awesome! I can't wait until next summer.
Thank you Knights and University Hero for inviting Little League players to your games. I would not have come if it weren't for Little League players getting in for free.
